I will give half of my breath to my sweetheart
Let her live long; her present state breaks my heart
Suffering and struggling for a whiff
Of fresh air; to sustain life for her is tough

I pray for her agonies on earth to end
And her pure soul with the Almighty blend
And her divine presence in the home to send
Rays of happiness and peace till my journey's end

All my childhood prayers were granted by you
O'God! Grant this heartfelt prayer for Lakshmi too
Bring her unbearable ordeal to an end
And may her sanctified soul with the Almighty blend
