A Mirage Poem by DEEPAK KUMAR PATTANAYAK

A Mirage

She dances;
Like a mirage
In my vision
Is luck or chance
A beauty and virtue
Always a mission
Mind, heart, soul,
Chained by her passion
Before her
Eyes smile
Twinkle with shine
Comes like a little
Beam of sunshine
Lights up crannies
Like a wine,
Bubbly and so fine
Gives pleasure
Too hot to leave
Any leisure
Store her in castles fair
And see her melting
Like bubbles in the air
She is very daring
Gives you wings
Takes you to the heights
She is bliss
Unalloyed happiness
Or supreme delight
She is a priceless gift
No money could buy
Any such happiness
All wealth and power
Look dim before her
The more I chase her
The more she flies
Floats in the clouds
Varies in the minds
Pure happiness she is....
As I could not run nor soar
I decide to be content within
Deep hidden in my heart
To see, feel and enjoy
The peace queen…………..
