Ice cream for when you remember back then,
Stomach-aching foods to feel something again
Plenty of water, replace the tears you've cried
When life kicked you down or a loved one died
Some food coloring to put on your face
To give you a mask that hides your disgrace
A kitchen knife to your wrist like an eraser
Shocks the pain like an emotional taser
A pound of peaches, so you know what sweet is
Though you haven't felt true loves kiss
Maybe some candy, though bad for your health
So you can pretend to be doing something for yourself
Find your solutions at the bottom of a bottle
Magazines with supermodels
Watching, taunting you from the display
Making more than you'll ever see, in only a day
Perfection on the outside, that may be true
But the scary thing is... they're just like you,
They need ice cream and their water too
They all wear masks you can't see through
The knife to their wrist might not leave traces
But they still look for comfort in all the wrong places
They might have money, that doesn't give them smarts
Or more reason to live, or as big of a heart
You're just as good as anyone you see
Regardless of any reasons that may be
We're all just people, with our grocery list
Not grasping concepts we so often miss
We're all amazing in our own little ways
So don't ever forget that.... okay?

If someone mentions Ice Cream I automatically go for the 10! But I won't let that sway me. This poem shows your deep empathy for a friend. Whoever he or she is, is lucky to have you as a friend. It is good to convince someone that they are not alone with their problems. This is a very good poem and I'm going to put it on my favourites' list.
