i went back to bed, sleep runs away
leaving me dreaming with open eyes
i saw spider coming down from roof
it's getting bigger, it didn't reach me
maybe she felt my breath or saw me
move, i won't take a chance; poisonous?

i'm not only one watching; a cat by corner
shiny black with sparkling eyes; mysterious
she moves her tail; stand up and jump to bed
she sits; looking at me as if i have her space
i reach, trying to pet her; she just walk away
never looking back; maybe she's hungry
