A beast in adolescence
Wandering amidst humans
Mouth ajar salivating
Eyes despaired in hunger
...

A stroll at dusk
On a damp path
Bewildered in solitude
Immersed in silence
...

On a silent night,

A whistling breeze caresses the slumbering neighbourhood,
...

A port city
Its’ glory now engraved in history
Struggles to provide the few
Once glorified by vessels
...

The child’s twinkling eyes
Gazed neither at rainbows nor starry nights
Her eyes drooped
Witnessing chaos and rebellion
...

Pagi itu hening suasananya,
Bumi kampung masih basah disiram embun dingin,
Titisan jernih dedaun hijau gugur mencari bumi,
Tubuhku dimamah kesejukan nyaman di pagi hari,
...

As I ponder what Merdeka is today;
I fail to immerse in one thing;
The one thing they had aspired.
...

I rode on a street
To come across a kitten
Neither adult nor newborn
A beast much chubby
...

Senja ini unggas berkicauan
Kampung tiada sepi seberapa
Tapi tiada ceria masa lampau
Tiada lagi ke sana ke sini
...

Deserts And Oasis

A beast in adolescence
Wandering amidst humans
Mouth ajar salivating
Eyes despaired in hunger

A beast not street wise
Perseveres unguided
For that’s its ill-fate
In a desert much lush

A landscape trim and shaven
Greens and crafted shrubs
For humans of higher order
Yet emotions so inhumane

A relentless persevering beast
Seems a child but a destitute
For this soul is no significant
Amidst arid hearted souls

A saviour much impoverished
Feeds selflessly bewildered beasts
For he resides the lower order
Yet compassionate so humane

Deserts dwell in some souls
Oasis thrive in others
He seeks not your gems
But a soul in compassion.
