Cold, Silent Night Poem by Mahadevan Krishnan

Cold, Silent Night

On a silent night,

A whistling breeze caresses the slumbering neighbourhood,

Wind chimes dangle carefree orchestrating pleasant chimes,

Misty veils of white cast a much invigorating seeping chill,

Candles glow unperturbed in solitude to a soothing warmth,

While reverberating carols recall an epic of bygone time,

On this silent night.

Merry Christmas

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM

Nevertheless on this quiet moment, the candles and carols reverberating in the air reflect scenes of biblical times marking the arrival of Christ for the persona (writer) .
