I know not what awaits this darkened room,
since death has claimed you for its latest bride.
I feel a sense of some impending doom,
as solemn sadness sits 'midst tears I've cried.

We stole each others heart away,
With hope, with dreams and care;
E'er knowing love would pave the way
For blissful times we'd share.

Do our preachers in their pulpits
With expansion plans to nurse,
Strive earnestly to save our souls,
Or seek to grab our purse?

Time draws near, I await my fate,
The fate all mortals must await;
Is God still firmly on his throne,
Or must I make this trip alone?
...
If death shall be an endless sleep
where all pressures, dreams shall cease,
one would never have a need to weep
lying in eternal peace.

As we toast him here today;

On life's pathway, day by day;
It's the seeds you sow or scatter
That will flourish, on your way.
...
I am one lonely passing cloud on high,
Surveying your great Mother Earth, below.
As I soar onward through this spacious sky,
I see the things that earthlings there should know.
...
A hard fought battle you have won
This graduation day;
We fill with pride to know you still
Stand steadfast on the way.
...
Gloom and despair, dark agony-
Tis sad, so sad, but this we see,
In to much new age poetry.
