Jon ProskeyVigil Poems

Lost, scared and all alone;
Coldness creeps into your bones.

Fighting desperately to stay afloat;
...

Your bright blue eyes so full of joy;
because of you I act like a man and less boy.
your love and patciance that you show me;
I can't fathom what in me you see.
...

Lying close to you here in my dreams;
yet all alone here in the sceme of things.
The smell of your hair, the touch of your skin;
just lying here commiting no sin.
...

Sometimes you get so mad;
sometimes things are just that bad.
Sometimes your so angry u start to sputter;
sometimes you just stand there and stutter.
...

Watching the sun shine down between the clouds,
or petting a kind old hound, who's barkings is a musical sound,
Watching a storm in the night, as the thunder rumbles and lighting cracks,
When the leaves change their color, because water they lack,
...

Lying there in need of help,
Crying out in pain yet no one answers,
You call for those u hold close,
Those you call your friends,
...

We go here, we run to there;
never really seeing, having not a care.
We run and never walk just to breath the air;
or feel the wind blowing through our hair.
...

It's lonely at night all alone.
Laying in the dark silently,
Barely breathing scared of danger.
Mosters underneath the bed wating,
...

During the night time you sleep so sound;
Rivers of thoughtrs flowing through your mind.
Eternally lost inside your head nver to escape;
And to add to it all they are forgotten upon awakening.
...

Dangerous and creepy;
Always mystery is around, lurking behind every tree.
Reality seems to drift away and your imagination runs wild.
Knowing nothing is there, yet it seems so real.
...

A haunting call echoes in my mind;
Voices from the past I left behind.
Pain, anger, and all sorts of emotions;
Crying out from deaths oceans.
...

Letting go of it all;

Like waves rising only to fall.
...

Meaning in our lives can be so fragile,
a single blow can destroy all of our being;
destruction can be so very agile,
once broken there can be no freeing.
...

I walk amid the shadows silently,

Unseen, unnoticed by those around;
...

Every time my heart is pierced

My soul cries out,
...

Off in the darkest of nights

The stars shine bright,
...

It's the place all dreams are wished;
shooting stars nearly missed.
A million wonders beautifuly made;
there for our pleasure, upon to gaze.
...

Shadows in the night before your eyes;
lying in wait preying on peoples cries.
Wandering helplessly into bed;
unaware that they'll soon be dead.
...

I'm a fire in the night;
casting off an erie light.
Bidding traelers to join the dance;
never know your next chance.
...

Holding you here in my arms;
knowing I failed keeping you from harm.
Your body is lifeless and broken;
I remember still you last words spoken.

Fading Under

Lost, scared and all alone;
Coldness creeps into your bones.

Fighting desperately to stay afloat;
Hours after the sinking of the boat.

You can hear the others crying out,
But as time progresses you cant hear a single shout;
Soon hope begins to fade, and rescueyou begin to doubt.

After a while its hard to think;
As you slowly start to sink.

That last instinct to survive keeps you awake,
But you are no match for the chill, so you shake;
Your limbs seem not to work, and all over you ache.

When you finally go down;
You cannot help but think of your home town.

All of your loved ones that are there,
You dont get to tell them how much you care;
And you would give anything just to share.

One last moment, but it seems it wont be,
If only you could be freed, but you wont get to see;
It seems this watery grave was ment for me.
