The Hidden Monster Poem by Jon ProskeyVigil

The Hidden Monster

Rating: 4.0

Shadows in the night before your eyes;
lying in wait preying on peoples cries.
Wandering helplessly into bed;
unaware that they'll soon be dead.
Fangs protruding ever so slightly;
claws extending quietly.
Creeping out from my chambers;
from under the bed, while you go through your hangers.
Sneaking up from behind prepared to pounce;
ready to kill you, and devour every ounce.
Breathless whispers in the dark;
my eyes glowing as if they've captured a spark.
Hunger growling from deep within;
I'm on fire just below my skin.
I'm the source of all nightmares;
I've come back to take your life and no one cares.
I'm every childs nightmare in the night;
hidden under the bed away from your sight.
Thats where I shall wait;
despised by all with incredable hate.
I'm the reason for needless suffering;
I'm the monster under the bed hovering.
