Hira Ahsan Poems

Must repent thee
careless gardeners,
who sowed their coward seed..
...

I admit,
You did all chores,
cooked me food
and washed me clothes

3.

Ab bhi kuch kasak baqi hai
lutf-e-muhabbat ki palkon talay,

youn hi nahi raat raat bhar
...

A story I recall,
About six years back...
I gained weight,
And looked very fat...
...

Ae darakhto'n k pat'to gawah rehna
Kashkool liye tum khali kharray thay

Har ek ek sha'kh jar'ron tak thi sookhi
...

I wish to tear my flesh apart
and show the world
my lifeless heart
...

Like a toddler woes
in excess of stomach pain

like lover's blood palpitates
...

That cruel Sunrise...
Was filled with cries
Trillions of tears
Fell from all loving eyes...
...

Two toads in rain
stout bellies, puffed eyes
shouting loud for plenty
with swollen glands on
...

O! it flew; high and high
Out of cage, out of hand
Tied tongue, humble eye
Mutely I; cry and cry
...

Kalaam se jo hon balatar
Kuch lafz aisay mehfooz hon...
Is hid'dat se hath ko tham le
Mai rafaqat se teri mehzuz hun...
...

12.

I've a boundless sea in me
Loaded with eight-armed octopuses
Some prove mighty, some frail to move
Tempests, flood me to their strength
...

Aansu hazaar lag gye
Mere kaan'dhon pe ta'ziyat k sath
Ehbaab hain ya dushman...
Jo dete hain dua-e-umr-e-daraaz
...

Dil mei mere Allah ne
Phoolon ka ik gulshan sajaya
Nazuk mizaj, khoobru
Ik phool phir khilaya
...

Ik intezar hai
Be-rabt dharkan'dil be-qarar hai
Shayad talash hai
Kisi apne se lams' ki
...

Manzilein hi roo'th jaen...
To paa ker bhi kya krein? ?

Gardaab mei kashti hi doub jae...
...

Misery'trouble and mess all around
To me! will till death all these surround?

Blissful life from you I demand
...

18.

Wo dil kay har dareechay mein
har us lamhay sey qadir hain,

Kay jab har ishq ki hadd say

Child Abuse

Must repent thee
careless gardeners,
who sowed their coward seed..

Blossomed from it,
an innocent flower
No arrogance, ignorance
was habit of thee..

Approaching spring
enlightened thy charm,
But,
Sheltering there was
no arm..

Lustful moths and eager bees
took for granted,
Sucked the nectar
of the old enchanting..

O Holy Lord!
I beg n pray!
Iron bars of moans and pains,
Must stick thine magnetic hearts..

Beast-like elders.
who feel not the purity of flowers,
Must be forbidden to see the spring! !
