Brianna Stuckey Poems

You want security?
Just know,
remember these words as you lie in bed,
you walk to school,
...

2.

The day you are born and the day you die,
Has a dash between the two on your headstone.
Make that line,
The longest rope to walk on,
...

Time in, time out
Through each time I want to shout.
We go as one at the good lord's calling
We call it something like 'free falling'
...

4.

As I look, I see.
What I see, I can't answer.
I can question,
for what i do not see,
...

Twirl, twirl, twirl.
I feel the breeze catch me in the air,
my bun coming undone,
leaving bronze strings of my hair.
...

I hate the way you know me.
The way you look at me, full of passion and love.
When you flash one of those rare smiles, I curse the heavens above.
I hate how you act so sweet, but to the rest of the world you're so tough.
...

7.

Look to the left.
Darkness clouds my mind.
Not that my mind has ever been clear.
In quick distraction, born to shear.
...

Nothing she does can ever take back the mistake that'll be made.
Sun; hot and high hangs in the sky, she hides in the shade.
With each day and with each crack she begins to fade.
...

When I see roses,
I see flowers.
Who knew the things we say
Have great powers.?
...

All human,
Maybe a touch of something else.
Something like the taste of bitter.
Unique in every way,
...

I say it once,
I say it twice,
I say it as I run over Three Blind Mice;
...

I tug at my arms, the jacket that is draped over them.
I feel the wind in my hair, soaking me.
...

Not this time.

Time is wasted, but thats just being said for the rhyme.
...

Nothing remains, only the remains remain.
If it all that remains, why does she still feel the pain?
A sleaze, she thinks of him as dead.
Let go now, no reason to hold onto a bloodstained thread.
...

So many days you have been gone.
Letting go of the memories we've made, we could make.
So many hours I have awaited your return.
Fighting back against the demons of hell - for our love.
...

How many beautiful nights we spent were tired lies?
How many times will we say our long sad goodbyes?
Very few seconds could I bare to look in your forgetful eyes.
So many hours were stolen from me and given to the numbing highs.
...

Winter forgets the blade of grass it froze in time.
Feeling the cold and unable to move, though it tries with all its might.
Even as time passes it still cannot forget that cold fatal night.
It's strength gives and never again does it grow in height.
...

The drugs don't know what day it is, everyday.
but that is a good question, what day is it?
I remember walking left and you walking right.
And when I looked back, you were gone.
...

I’m calling for the sea but I’m too far along the shore.
Always looking, searching for something so much more.
Calling for music, looking for movement and I’m praying for you.
Yet you’re only someone I once knew.

You Want And I Give

You want security?
Just know,
remember these words as you lie in bed,
you walk to school,
prance in an open field.
I will get my revenge.

You want warmth?
When you smell it burning,
hear the crackling, and cracking of the roof,
the sight of a bright blaze.
I will burn your house down.

You want loyalty?
As you talk about me,
release my secrets as if they were yours,
steal my life right out from beyond, under, behind me,
fake an identity matching mine, only its yours, and mine is...gone...?
Im thinking of how it will benefit me.

You want love?
As you run around,
you, my 'friend'
my future,
my life,
my world,
my everything until/even when I have nothing,
you'll fall so damn hard, you'll break your scrawny little neck.
