Amateurs Poem by Brianna Stuckey

Amateurs

When I see roses,
I see flowers.
Who knew the things we say
Have great powers.?
But as we spit venem,
We think nothing of it.
Just being human.
So I sit now,
Holding the heart of a new man.

‘Overwhelm’
Cant describe this sensation.
Maybe your affection
Can be my new motivation.?

The passing adrenilen rushes
Have made me become numb.
I can’t feel myself
Chocking back your words,
And biting my tongue.

I didn’t know this love could be so complicated.
The monster inside me needs to be hushed,
So suffocate it.

Just as you,
I can’t let it go.
So I give you my all,
One more time,
To let you know.

Even though you're always back for a round two,
It stills burns and swells inside,
When you say enough.
Because this is what we are,
Two kids
Crazy in love.
