The cool water on his dimpled and parched face;
Is the welcome rain in a land of drought,
His hands runs through his un-kept hair;

Guns to my head, thoughts I dread,
Voices calling,
The past screaming,
My precious blood soaked my air,

Sitting on the stone inhaling the toxic fumes,
Taking the last few views of our past,
Seeing all the shades of green and noticing the life around this
Once dead to the eyes of mine,

Placed on the spiral metal
Looking at the above to a single point
Hearing the crickets make their nightly music
The occasional bat cuts my sight
