1.

I have found something I was not looking for,
It was like seeing the future in an instant.
Was it beauty?
Was it emotion?
...

Now are my mind and body weary
Time and space have left their mark
The paths I took brought me here
To continue with aids I scoffed at
...

As he opens his eyes; its like the sunrise,
The cool water on his dimpled and parched face;
Is the welcome rain in a land of drought,
His hands runs through his un-kept hair;
...

Guns to my head, thoughts I dread,
Voices calling,
The past screaming,
My precious blood soaked my air,
...

Sitting on the stone inhaling the toxic fumes,
Taking the last few views of our past,
Seeing all the shades of green and noticing the life around this
Once dead to the eyes of mine,
...

Placed on the spiral metal
Looking at the above to a single point
Hearing the crickets make their nightly music
The occasional bat cuts my sight
...

What

I have found something I was not looking for,
It was like seeing the future in an instant.
Was it beauty?
Was it emotion?
It’s like all thoughts evaporate to sublime into an image,
That not just my eyes see,
But my entire being perceives.
Is it God?
Is it right?
Every day I seek to decipher my findings,
Only to be more amazed and confused.
Of what substance is this?
Of what was this made?
It seems like everything and nothing,
Have I found figments of the past?
Presently watching them repeat themselves.
What have I found?
Was I meant to find it?
If this was meant to be private,
I am happy to have shared,
If we all have it, we should be the same.
Was the sequence just a co-incidence?
Were we meant to be?
Every night I go to sleep glad I have found it,
And you have too.
Where did it come from?
Where will it go?
