Shiny Happy People Poem by Stefanie Fontker

Shiny Happy People

You speak of love
And all those
Happy, little things
That I desperately
Want to ingest,
And spit out
Onto your new,
Crisp, white shoes
Naive, little girl
In the end your pain
Will save you
Not your beautiful
Children, nor your
Handsome beau, not even
That patio furniture
You got for half off
The lowest ticketed price
