Among The Ashes Poem by Stefanie Fontker

Among The Ashes

Rating: 5.0

Would you come back
To search for my face
Among the ashes?
To burn is to cleanse,
If it would please you,
Leave what is left of me
Behind here, peacefully.
Live and let live, forget me.
I will never cease to exist,
For I will be carried
Past you by the wind.

bodies burn in funeral pyres, leaving soul free to freedom leave, liberate sparks as ash upon the wind, the wind has no boundaries, soul free to wind ride distant locations, dust explores multiple locations simultaneously, the wind sings songs of undreamed of sights, solar wind carries us home among stars, our journey extends into galaxies infinities
