Cowboys And Angels Poem by Marilyn Lott

Cowboys And Angels

Rating: 5.0

There were rough and tough cowboys
That came to the town of Yukon
Settled right into the middle of town
As though it’s a place they belong

It was Saturday night, my friend
And rodeo was getting ready
Horses and hats and cowboys
Just streamed into town steady

Pretty girls with eyes darting ‘round
Looking for a cowboy that was single
“Are you alone, sir? ”
She thought, as she continued to mingle

The country music was blasting
Hearts pounding as it was about to start
For the cowboy was to ride for 8 seconds
And the animals were ready to do their part

Have you ever been to a rodeo?
Well, if you haven’t, please make plans
As soon as one is near-by
Be one of the folks in the stands!
