Rebirth

A girl child is born,
...

Love and Bonding
Working behind transparent glass,
That guards,
And creates a division,
...

A Sibling

My son will get a sibling,
Oh! He is such a darling.
...

Poisonous fangs

Energetic, jovial and enthusiastic
He went tripping along the way
...

Spring
Spring brings its charm
Melancholy turned yellow with dead leaves
Full bloomed roses
...

Thoughts

Thoughts linger on
Lie buried deep
...

Fixed in Time and Space
‘We won't meet again',
I stood rooted
Fixed like a tree
...

Tying Nuptial Knot
...

Rebirth

Rebirth

A girl child is born,
Some are happy,
Some are sad,
That a girl is born.

Look at her mamma,
Joyously she watches her darling,
Not forgetting to miss any of her tender steps,
“My reflection”, utters mamma.

Papa seems confused,
Steals a look from her face,
I’ll make her an officer,
That’s how she’ll be introduced.

She grows up like a fairy doll,
Is more loved than her brother,
The sibling always complaints,
You just love your baby doll.

The dolly becomes a working woman,
Oh God! None is happier than her brother,
My sister will create a niche for herself,
And be a successful woman.

The dolly becomes a bride,
Her prince takes her away,
She had many romantic notions,
But she dies one day.

The seven circles bind her hard,
The mangalsutra holds her neck,
The palanquin shows a one-way route,
And she is born with a changed name.

Now she understands,
Why her parents loved her more,
She was a lovely flower,
That won’t stay ever for sure.
