Pradip Saikia Poems

That hides away in my cotton pockets
Sucking blood of emptiness
In whose eight wonderful legs golden anklets tinkle
In whose twinkling of diamond-like eyes
...

My prehistoric godown
Is filled with
Innumerable sculptures
...

You can click photographs of
A foggy forest
Chilly whimpers
You can click photographs of
...

Who is he
At the gate of the fortress
With a shattered heart
...

Where was I going
Riding a two-wheeled chariot
Through a green tunnel
...

The rainbow doesn't enter through the prism anymore
The river doesn't surge down rinsing the snow

Your speechless unstirring face
...

You are a woman picking fossils in the darkness

In your heart
Shadow of the ruins
...

I'm pushing you along
O two wheeler
The corpse of my father
From the last one of all my previous births
...

9.

When I come out
To the summer verandah
Through a window cut out in light
He coils up like a snake
...

At what fathom of depth of my sleep
Have you sprouted
Is the mist enveloping there
In the shadows of thegateways
...

After many seasons
In the mirror of water
There is rainbow
...

Do you recognise me
I am the doll
The stillness of the rock
Charred dreams
...

A flaming light
Dancing
At the hub of the night
...

Six hungry boys were weeping under a column of fire
In Rajabazar
Swords sucked our blood piercing our neck
...

Are you there
Are you

Inside the house
...

Even after chasing ten horizons
You have not found yourself
The sunshine on your face
...

The shining sun is
On the other side of memory
...

To meet the mortal remains
A limping fragrant tree
...

For the last time
In the whirlpool of smoke
A scream
...

Leaving an antique rupee coin in the coffer
Mother went away

The Best Poem Of Pradip Saikia

The Green Spider

That hides away in my cotton pockets
Sucking blood of emptiness
In whose eight wonderful legs golden anklets tinkle
In whose twinkling of diamond-like eyes
I am mesmerized
The fiery hunger in its tongue

It is my shadow - the illusive companion
A green spider beyond my reach

As the sun sets like a home bound steed
It ventures out like an old citizen in a morning stroll
With dancing steps on its eight legs
And a deceptive smiling countenance

It commences its journey
When the pre-dawn breeze taps the tips of the slumbering trees

My slender fingers are crushed between its sharp teeth

Sucking at the bloodstream
It nibbles away all the pages of my epic

Whose moments erodes drop by drop
Like a melting candle
What a wonder
Its companion in a secret pouch
A green spider
Of another era
