Forlorn Poem by Pradip Saikia

Forlorn

The rainbow doesn't enter through the prism anymore
The river doesn't surge down rinsing the snow

Your speechless unstirring face
Looking out of the window
O mother Mexico

The coquettish cloud is being carried away by the storm
Rocks in the flooded river

The row of earthen lamps has lost the bird of flame
Flute of south east

The rainbow does not waft through the words anymore

The suitor Balmiki
The emigrant bird will not return
To its country
In all the countries
