Stranger Poem by Pradip Saikia

Stranger

Who is he
At the gate of the fortress
With a shattered heart

The bloodied flag of independence
Ofthe dark valley

The burning sun
Of the glittering eyes of the pigeon at night

The angel of the hills
Standing still
On the stairs of glass

A wavering voice wafting in
Eulogy

Who is he
In exchange of blood
The day
In exchange of
The ruined night
