Your Love Fills My Heart (Rondeau) Poem by Gert Strydom

Your Love Fills My Heart (Rondeau)

Your love fills my heart and you know well
that constantly Babe, I am under your spell
and although a virus do the world around whirl
in all of this you remain my one and only girl
and of my feeling I do not have you to tell.

At Balito the sea did at your feet roar and swirl
but now with a virus all of life has gone to hell
and with that moist air you hair did lovely curl.
Your love fills my heart,

while when we will be together again I cannot tell
and as if people have to atone I hear a church-bell
but a host of God's angels do against this attack unfurl
and whatever life and destiny do against us hurl,
your love fills my heart.
