You Are My Friend
Yes, I love you
for you are my friend.
Yes, I love you.
You're my friend to the end.
I once said 'You brought me nothing.'
Oh how wrong I was.
You've given me words
to keep me sound.
You've given me thoughts
to bring me around.
You've given me song
to cheer my heart.
You've given me so much
that will never depart.
And because of these gifts
I can breathe again.

for you are my friend.
