Year After Year

I have walked this city
In years of youth
and in years of experience
That traverse
Through my veins
I am blind
I am deaf
To sorrows and pain
Those are to some but a shame
I have never seen sorrow
In this city
That grows new everyday
I have seen
Only laughter and joy
I have seen
Hope rejoiced
Year after year
Endlessly to my end
