Within Poem by Janet Mulligan

Within

Now I know the deep seeded truth
I was looking outside when I should of been looking in
I just wish I knew
I got to be the change
Instead of blowIng with the wind
Had all I needed when I needed it most
Now it's like I'm a living ghost
How did I let this happen?
How could I be such a fool
But you are the one breaking the golden rules
So I fix and arrange
Getting back to who I was before you came
