Two Doves Poem by Janet Mulligan

Two Doves

I know my purpose and what I am called upon for
The heartfelt tasks that leave us yearning for more
Those moments with me will bring changes to your core
Backwards and forwards but never as it was before
Forcing changes on the habits we struggle to explore
Walk with me as I ease your pain through the next door
New chapters begin and together we are birds that can soar
Higher and higher we fly despite the heavy down pour
Will you fly alongside with me forevermore?
Or will choose to reside upon the earths shaky floor?
Inconsistent at best
And never a moments rest for life's breath
But you bring the powerful simplicity and stealth
Easing this chaotic life with implicitly gracious wealth and good health.
