With a mission

I am a child
a different kind,
not orphan but all alone
as parents have left me and gone

what do I know about this world?
people say it is always like a dark cloud
all the time threatening
and worsening the situation

well, I am fully determined
and seemingly defined
the role to be played
and not at all dismayed

life might remain hard
but I have a word
from an almighty
I am out with a lantern

there might be the place
where I shall have not to chase
find prosperity and peace
life shall suit me to live at an ease
