Like so many girls and women
You fawn over him
Light up when he's around
Go soft when he's near

All I have to ask is
Why would you want him
When you could have me

I could show you a great
time
Take you places
Dance in the rain
Stare at the stars at night
I feel I could do that
And perhaps more
For you
Perhaps much more than him

Love and romance are such
complicated things
Yet, those things make the
world go around
I'll leave you to your own
devices, my dear
Hopefully when the time draws
near
You'll come running back to me

If you so wish to
