Why No Bird Bard Poem by Narayanan Nair. P Perunthanam

Why No Bird Bard

WHY NO BIRDS
As my sighs gently passed through
found an old tall tree of yellow leaves
One of its nude gray branches rough
bore a brown deserted nest of birds.
Experiments endangered Environment
Callousness here created catastrophe
Underground explosions and pesticides
Fatal gases stopped chirping, besides.
As the infertile mindexhales dry sighs
Tohold the soul the slender body fails.

The nest is empty of birds; the man's mind is empty of inspiration. This parallel has accompanied mankind as long as he thought poetically..
