Why Is There So Much Pain? Poem by Runni McDaniel

Why Is There So Much Pain?

The circling emotions that rip you apart,
when your friends begun fighting.
The pressure in the air squeezes you dry,
of heart and soul.
The horrible shouts and yells of useless arguements.
You start to become a shell of your former self.
Everything around you is blackening.
Suddenly, the sounds start to blow away into nothing.
No one sees begining to travel to the dark abyss.
Your sight blurs and everything is spinning.
Finally you fell to the ground, startling your friends.
They rush to you and see your bloody wrists, with drooping eyes.
Your friends dragged you off to the hospital.
Everything fades into the darkness of your mind.
Weeks passed, your ears hear the tears of pain,
regret, anguish, sorrow, and love.
The emotions melt away as you are pulled deeper
into a eternal slumber..........
