Who Pulls Me To The Earth? Poem by Neela Nath Das

Who Pulls Me To The Earth?

Rating: 5.0

to love the hackneyed days?
The old ships sail to go back
to home being free from cage.
The new feet stomp in pride,
along the harbor and set out
for voyage with hope very new,
loving life keeping aside doubt.
Earth draws them towards her
teaching from birth the hymn of life.
We live as water on the leaves of lotus,
if we fall, we won't survive!
Still, the indomitable love for
life makes us hug it with our tight embrace.
we kiss our age-old days fervently,
imagining them to be in their younger grace.
The sun, the moon the rivers and seas,
everyday appear as paintings of whose?
Day and night both are adorned bright,
to solace our burns, wounds or sudden bruise!
Who and how keeps nice the earth's canvas,
like moving scenery with which paint-brush?
Who sprinkles ray of hope in utter despair,
to show that nothing in world is unfair?
Awe-stuck, I feel the touch of whom always?
Does he create all things himself to be amazed?
