Who Goes There? Poem by Nicco Muegge

Who Goes There?

that unbearable endless pain we all know;
do you hear that?
it snickers at you in the night amongst
the shadows, & hides
all around you during the day.

that, oh so familiar emptiness we feel in
our stomachs when we are alone;
invisible are his eyes, yet unshakeable
his grasp;
how long will it last?

o, tell me you name, you hidden
amidst the dark;
or shall you remain a
mystery forever?
