While Youth Is On Your Side Poem by Walterrean Salley

While Youth Is On Your Side

Rating: 5.0

What are your ambitions?
And what is your goal?
Dare to follow your dreams,
If you should be so bold.

If you put your heart to it,
You can be the best.
You can be all that’s great,
Settle for no less.

You can be the President,
A doctor or professor.
Why not a philanthropist
Or some great successor?

Aim for the stars,
And if you only reach the sky-
Remember that you did your best
And hold your head up high.

Don’t let opportunities pass,
Nor drown in foolish pride,
But strive toward some noble goal
While youth is on your side.

Your age and life experiences give you these wonderful lines but the youth are blind to such wisdom, it part of the package :)
