Although you've been gone for so many years every now and then I cry
'Cause I find it sad to think you left and we never said goodbye.
I never got to tell you how much you meant to me
But somehow I know your listening wherever you may be.
So, I'll start out with I love you deep inside you always knew
But those are just three words I hardly ever said to you.
And next I'd like to thank you for all those times you cared
And for all the good and bad times in life that we both shared.
I know that I'd give anything and even so much more
If I could turn time back to the way it was before.
But God will not let that happen life moves forward and goes on
And you can't bring people back once God calls them they are gone.
So I hope that you are happy that's what matters most to me
And I hope that you are listening
