What's For Next? Poem by Neela Nath Das

What's For Next?

Rating: 5.0

In those days
I was so fascinated
by your spell that
I chanted your name
so many times in a day!
I had to write an
address for my next door
neighbor, and
I passed it to her.
Frowning she gave
me back that paper
and I saw I wrote
your name.
Your number I kept
under the guise of
of my cousin.
How long could I do that?
Just tell me Ricky, how long?
We don't have any road
to choose than our old
hackneyed way.
What's for next?
No future, no peace.
My mom must have killed me,
if she could catch me.
I don't want to read any
novel which I can't finish.
I'm reading now the same
book, keeping the same
page mark, only she can turn it
over, she? You know my mom.
