Welcome Night Poem by spiritual seeker

Welcome Night

Rating: 5.0

Welcome dear night,
Embrace me tight,
After all these years, I have come to realise,
That in the busy of day, it has not given me peace of heart,
For only in the serene darkness of night,
I was able to see more than in the bright glare of daylight.
O sacred moments of night,
It is under your dark veil, that I feel so very close to You,
And whisper my heart,
To sail the calm ocean of peace and drink the sweetness of spiritual honey.
Night O dear night,
I have now come to a point of life,
That I felt restless in the appearance of twilight,
For I will sadly leave the greatest moments of night.

The positive side of night. You have tapped in to a certain truth, which only those who have experienced it could know. I thoroughly enjoyed this piece: it inspires peace and comfort. Such a joy. Thanks for sharing it with us.

Very poetic appreciation of the darkness, the silence, the night. Darkness has been so much associated with negativity that many of us are afraid of darkness. But I agree it is when many others are sleeping, that silence prevails and ideas can flow sometimes much more freely. I truly enjoyed reading the poem.
