We As Women
How can one feel better with gender discrimination?
When all sorts of abuses, including on body, are thrust upon
This assumes grater degree when it is racially oriented
Not a word about atrocity is said or ever lamented
How I feel as woman is matter of no relevance?
One can clearly understand and draw the inference
How many countries are still under mental occupation?
Color is their main enemy and source of indignation
May be lot many words are said in our praise?
What ever may be elevation of status and still has transformation phase!
We are still target for causing torture, abuse and humiliation
End doesn’t seem to be in sight and poses big question
You take any where the position of woman and analyze
It won’t be happy occasion to take pride and summarize
Nature has given them role and has to seek safety
At any level they may need shelter as per capacity
We have special role to play and adjust
In today’s environment it is required and must
Females have been assigned with special responsibilities
They are in fact adored with respect and assured sureties
World has yet to grant them equal status
Even though they are coming up fast in radius
Yet more has to be done to improve their living
Many countries have to take steps to relieve the sufferings
ju under mental occupation well described. & even cultures that think they have the equality thing sussed... they don't, not totally. it's just that methods of control are different.
I read and agree to the extent that women are not truly appreciated and even as we try to assert our worth most men do not fully comprehend what the world would be without a woman. Your thoughts were patiently brought out and it presented a good image of what it is like for us around the world. I think you did a good job.

Excellent poem about the rights of women. Just remember are not minority in some countries and still they are treated as such. A prejudice unfairly thrust upon societies who believe men greater. Even in my own country only a select few women in power.
i was fortunate to live in a society where women are accorded the respect they deservr. your poem echoed the situation of women in other parts of the world and hopefully it will make a difference. good luck and keep writing.
A great and to the point poem. Women should be treated the same as any man, If not better. Without my partner i would be lost. she is my god. thats how women should be treated.
