This chap, had a cap
Pulled down over his face.
This was in case,
The rains, refrain.
Touched his skin,
And dripped off his chin.
This bloke, had a cloak
Wrapped around tight,
To keep him alright,
Whilst the rain poured down,
So that he would be
Dry, completely.
This fella, had an umbrella
Which was extra cover,
As he would discover,
In the rains display,
Thus there was no water,
In any quarter.
This male, just hated hail,
As this soaked into his gear,
Which gave him no cheer,
But being cleverer than the rest,
And just to make sure,
A mackintosh, he wore.

A fine piece of humour, the gentlest whimsy to take one's cares away. All well-metred with rhyme intact, to keep wit dry on a rainy day! Fine write., With warm regards, Hugh

What a clever poem! It's sort of a children's poem, but I think it's probably appealing to children of all ages.
