Water, Water..... Poem by Parameswaran Nair Damodaran Nair

Water, Water.....

Rating: 5.0

They say pointing out to evidences
Planet Mars was once rich
With abundant water sources
Who knows the earth,
Our home planet
Will not have a future
Devoid of water?
Beware!
Stop unscrupulous
Exploitation of nature.
I foresee a day far ahead
all the plants and creatures perish
For want of water
Dead bodies, instead of decaying
Will dry up like fire wood splinters
Do not let our wells, ponds,
streams, rivers and lakes dry up
Do not let our seas steam up
Water is precious
Water is life.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM

It is a very timely write! Man is so careless and so ruthlessly exploits nature.Very little is done for conservation of water. If this continues, earth may one day dry up and all life will be destroyed.Thank you for sharing this valuable write.

Revisiting: There is a fathomless depth in this wonderful composition that reminds me of the scenario after an albatross was killed. A thoughtful poem.

Yes sir water is prescious and water is our life. We should not waste it but judiciously use.
