Waiting For My Love Poem by Stephanie Dower

Waiting For My Love

Rating: 4.0

The land falls away below me,
The waves crash on the rock.
I see the ships below me,
Waiting in the dock.
But none of those interest me.
There is only one ship I need,
To break from the horizon,
And deliver my love with speed.
For I long to hold him,
Hold him close within my arms.
Lie next to him at night,
And blush at his charms.
O' Where is my darling love?
Sailing on the distant sea.
How long must I wait,
For my love to come back to me?
