Volume Poem by Indira Renganathan

Volume

Rating: 4.0

I can not help listening to music
In high volume

But dad gets wild and asks me
To lower the volume

But I just can't listen in
Low volume

Mom comes in there, says something
To dad in whispering volume

Dad cant hear, asks 'what, what'
In a slightly raised volume

Mom whispers something more
Still in a lower but stressed volume

Somewhat irked now dad shows anger
In a more higher volume

Still more scared, mom now is
In still more low volume

Oppressed completely by my volume
Dad now is in harsh and high volume

Losing his temper, screams trying
To be higher than my volume

I get disturbed and irritated
Increase my music to the highest volume

All lost...madly screaming
Dad and mom now in full volume

What else then, I slip out and escape
In silent volume
