Turning Around Poem by Vera Sidhwa

Turning Around

Negotiating a Curve

My new car liked driving fast.
It almost turned upside down.
This car knew no normal speeds,
So it swiftly swung around.

You see, this car was made for me,
For I would teach it some tricks.
I taught about slowing down,
But it did not like tricks.

I learned quickly that you cannot change,
Anything or anyone.
This car was like a human.
It was like everyone.
