Tribute to teacher

I bow my head to teachers
who taught me how to behave and remember
the holy name of an almighty
and offer prayers with sincerity

Tamso maa Jyotirgamay 'or Lead me kindly to light
to show the right path
and lead a life of a decent human being
to bring the good name for self, society and country

mother is an outstanding teacher to learn how to walk
but the teacher has taught me how sensibly to talk
mix with the people, respect their sentiments
and present in such a way that it maintains the harmonious core

life could have remained barren as earth might have without rain
teacher nourished plant and maintained the mental growth
it not only instilled confidence and faith
but maintained the dignity of human beings till the last breath
