Tonight Your Eyes Sparkle (Cavatina) Poem by Gert Strydom

Tonight Your Eyes Sparkle (Cavatina)

Tonight your eyes sparkle like constellations
of yellow stars,
while a strange kind of magic is around.
Away from wars
of domestic mangling, calling duties,
not a thing mars
this perfect night as you smile in delight,
while you are lovely and kiss you I might.
