Today... 'The Firstborn Of Every Creature' Poem by Roy Allen

Today... 'The Firstborn Of Every Creature'

At the threshold of time before life had begun
there stood the Only Eternally Begotten Son.
He was the image of the Invisible God
the Firstborn of all creatures and the Living Word.

As the Master of all thrones and dominions
angels and creation became His minions.
Things visible and invisible He has made
principalities and powers His will obeyed.

The Alpha and Omega, the First and the Last
The King of the future and the Lord of the past.
In Him we have redemption by His precious blood
shed when He was sacrificed on a cross of wood.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Colossians 1: 14-16
In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:
Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature:
For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him. (KJV)

The Bible calls You by many names
each one giving a glimpse of Your glory.
Like a cut diamond radiating in the sun
with every facet depicting an aspect
of Your Divine Nature.
Today I have thought of You as
'The Firstborn of every creature'
