To The Little Souls! Poem by Nayyab Younas Khan

To The Little Souls!

I rose from my throne one day, and came out of all falsehood
What to witness, many little souls living in austere childhood

I found my heart drowning, fading like a setting sun
A wrinkle of despair surrounded it, I felt my world spun

When I pulled myself together, I realized there was a hope
I wasn't born to fear but to dare, to hold strong His rope

I hear it all the time, somebody should do something
Well, I am somebody, We All are, so why not Now we begin?

When I was in such thoughts, a bird flew
Despite the setting sun with all it's crew

They were showing the world, no matter what, take your flight
The journey must go on with hope, a must, to see a day turning bright.
