I know I'm not lovey dovey
I hide my emotions as to not get hurt.
But with you, I want that to be another story.
So please don't leave me in the dirt.
This, I feel, is the best way to tell you.
But it's so very complicated.
You make me feel like new.
But I can be unemotional and I hate it.
So I'm sorry if your love seems one sided
It's just hard for me to show.
I promise that's not how it is.
I just wanted to let you know.
You coming into my life helped
My faith is restored.
Before you, I considered life a hell
But now it's so much more.
You make me want to live
Even when I could die
I have a lot to give
Just please give me time.
Yes I write a poem to all my lovers
But not one as heartfelt as this.
You mean so much more than the others.
There isn't a moment I want to miss.
Yeah I don't think we were supposed to meet.
And yeah I think I'll still hurt you in the end.
But you make my heart weak
And now I've started to mend.
Thank you, for showing up
In my worst time of need.
I wanted to give up
But now you're with me.
I felt I could be honest this way
And I kinda was
But it's not all I want to say.
But it's all I must.
