His Shadow Poem by Victoria Hudson

His Shadow

Rating: 5.0

I see him every night
When I close my eyes
He is my strong flight
He is my prize

He means much more than he thinks
He is my everything
And though my love to give stinks
He knew every meaning

He was my love
Strong and true
He was my knowledge
Loyal too

Sadly he never knew
I needed him much more
More than I shown
More and more too soon

If only he would return
With the light he brings
He was the one I depended on
He was my everything

I should move on
Leave him behind
But each time I close my eyes
I see his silouette

His artist hands painted me
He made me happy
When he left, I lost much more
Than just forgetting to let my love soar

I am forgetting everything
He lead me here and now I am leaving
No more to love
No more to feel

I will sadly return
To my grave of fear
To never learn
To let people near

When he returns, if he does
I will sadly look away
He must make me love
Once more like I did that day

Just a silouette now
Floating by on a cloud
Waiting and watching
I keep on falling and falling

I should move on
Forget our past
But it was long
Didn't move fast

I love him still
Though I shouldn't
He made me feel
Important...

Love is a powerful thing to feel it can bring us together and tare us apart but to hold onto love that is no more will only break your heart, forget and find meaning to something new and with that you will see the pain ease away. Very deep and I could feel the pain in your heart keep writing I find your work enjoyable.
