My Hard Life Poem by Victoria Hudson

My Hard Life

Rating: 5.0

For years, I have been mocked. Shot apon everyday.
Means things said, and in everyway.
Since I was young, that has been my life.
Full of everything with pain and strife.
But I try to say 'Hello'
Putting on a very good show.
I hide my true self and built a barrier.
People would say, 'Who could love her? '
Tired of getting pain instead of love
I thought that my heart would never soar like a dove...
Five years later since that thought
I was known as the little rock.
Kept to myself and hid my pain
Never wanted to love again.
But then came someone who changed me much
He gave me love, hope, and such.
He made me become like I was
To see and watch from above.
I see the world how I used to.
With no pain coming through.
And shortly I believe
That everyone in my life would leave.
But he still tells me he will be there
For our love is best shared.
I still have my thoughts
Of suicide and the lots.
But I know with him there
I will no longer be scared.
