To My Lost Lover Poem by Victoria Hudson

To My Lost Lover

Rating: 5.0

Our late night calls still floods my mind
The laughter we shared still brings tears
And though I know you'll never be mine
Just know I'll always be here
Because like it or not I still love you
And like it or not I'll always feel the same
Because you showed me a world i didn't know
And all i wanted to do was the same.
But your love wasn't real to you.
To you i was just a game
Now what do I do?
Because I am still the same.
I've tried moving on
But when its when im alone that im weak.
Your name is like a song
Stuck in my head on repeat.
Without you I thought life had no meaning.
Without you I thought i was gone.
But something told me i had meaning.
And to think how i was was wrong.
I do still love you.
Nothing on Earth could ever change that.
But even though the world you gave was new.
I do not need you to survive.
